Grapes
are weighed by trained staff, who provide the packers
with the
correct amount of fruit for each carton. It is very
important to ensure that the net weight of the grapes
in the carton is correct and in accordance with the
weight
set by the exporter. The pack house Quality Management
System makes
provision for the verification of weight.
A
final weight inspection is done by a PPECB asessor,
and the
consignment is subsequently accepted for export.
