ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

POLICY STATEMENT

We, the Management and employees at Rekopane, are committed to:

*Farming and producing fruit in an environmentally responsible manner;

*Managing all agricultural processes on a sustainable development approach
  to enable us to find a balance between economic, social and environmental
  needs and the ability of future generations to meet their own needs;

*Educating all employees concerning the farm's environmental risks,
  and implementing action plans to reduce risks;

*Transparently and openly communicate environmental concerns;

*Constantly conserving and protecting the unique bio-diversity
  of the environment;

*Ensuring that all business associates and contractors involved in
  the farming process align their environmental programmes with this policy statement;

*Meeting the requirements of internationl, national and provincial
  environmental legislation;

*Continually improving the integrated environmental management program.

VALUES

We believe that:

*Environmental stewardship is fundamental to our business and presents ethical
  business practices.

*All environmental impacts on the environment are preventable.
  We shall therefore endeavor to reduce these impacts.

Our intention is to:

*Identify all environmental risks on the farm and implement a specific procedure to
  implement this task.

*Implement management plans for all significant risks identified
  containing objectives and targets, monitoring and measuring, training etc.

Responsibilities:

*It is the management's responsibility to ensure that the farm is continually improving
  its environmental performance.

*Top management is responsible for ensuring that all employees are trained   adequately with regards to the environmental risks in their respective areas.

*All employees are ultimately responsible and obliged to minimize all environmental
  risks in the working area.

Green politics is not about being far left or far right, but about being far sighted!
